Job description
Century Group is partnering with a client who a growing organization in Van Nuys, CA, is seeking a Temporary-to-Hire Senior Accountant. Role is onsite. Only local applicants will be considered. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $40 to $45 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Handle payments, ensuring proper recording and reconciliation.
Conduct cash flow analysis and provide insights for financial planning.
Develop and maintain budgeting and projection models.
Maintain fixed asset schedules and ensure proper accounting treatment.
Prepare and distribute department budget reports.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
Utilize advanced MS Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
Proficiently use QuickBooks for accounting tasks.
Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and go above and beyond in all tasks.
Qualifications: BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience.
Highly advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
Proficiency in QuickBooks.
Strong understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Positive attitude with a willingness to take on new challenges and go the extra mile.
