Construction AccountantBLVD Electric Inc. is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Construction Accountant to support project accounting, payroll coordination, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This role works closely with leadership, project managers, and office teams to maintain accurate financial records, meet accounting deadlines, and support multiple active construction projects.ResponsibilitiesHandle project closeout accounting, final billing, retention collection, and reconciliation of outstanding commitmentsReview payroll information, including employee hours, wage rates, reimbursements, and project allocationsAssist with certified payroll, prevailing-wage documentation, and labor-compliance reporting when applicableReconcile bank accounts, credit cards, vendor accounts, and general-ledger balancesPrepare journal entries and support month-end and year-end closing, financial reports, audits, and tax documentationMaintain organized billing logs, collection reports, and project financial records while protecting confidential informationCommunicate with project teams, vendors, and general contractors regarding payments, discrepancies, and supporting documentationHelp improve accounting procedures, reporting accuracy, and financial controlsRequirementsPrevious accounting, bookkeeping, or project accounting experience; construction or electrical-contractor experience strongly preferredUnderstanding of job costing, construction billing, retention, change orders, and accounts payable and receivableKnowledge of lien releases and preliminary notices; AIA billing and certified payroll experience preferredProficiency with Excel; QuickBooks and construction-accounting software experience strongly preferredStrong attention to detail, organization, communication, and ability to manage multiple deadlinesAccounting-related degree preferred but not required; bilingual English and Spanish a plusPay(Insert approved pay range), based on construction accounting experience, software knowledge, and ability to manage responsibilities independently.BenefitsHealth, dental, vision, and life insurance; 401(k) with matching; paid time off and sick time; parental leave; employee assistance and discounts; company-provided technology; and professional development opportunities.Career GrowthOpportunities to advance into senior accounting, payroll oversight, financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting management as the company grows.Work LocationFull-time, primarily in-office in Southern California.
