Job Description Job Description The Construction Accounts Payable professional will support commercial and residential construction projects by managing accurate, timely invoice processing and payment activities. Reporting to the Controller, this role will coordinate with vendors, and subcontractors while supporting job cost accuracy, compliance administration, and month-end close activities.
Responsibilities
Process construction invoices using two-way matching and project-manager approval workflows.
Reconcile statements and payments and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Track subcontractors and administer compliance requirements, including insurance certificates and prevailing-wage documentation.
Allocate costs to construction jobs and code expenses accurately.
Retain invoices, compliance records, and accounting documents in accordance with company practices.
Support month-end accounting activities and reporting.
Required Qualifications
2+ years of experience in construction accounts payable.
Experience with accounts payable, construction accounting, invoice processing, and job cost accounting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Experience managing vendors and subcontractor-related documentation.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
