Construction Administrative Assistant/Job Cost AdminWe are seeking a motivated Job Cost Admin to assist with field operations for large-scale electrical construction projects across the nation. This role serves as a liaison between various teams and manages subcontractor pay schedules.ResponsibilitiesAct as a liaison between field operations teams and other departments.Manage subcontractor pay schedules and ensure timely payments.Support construction projects by handling subcontractor billing, payment applications, lien waivers, and progress billing.Track job costs and maintain accurate project budgets and financial documentation.Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, nested functions, and data reconciliation.Review and analyze large volumes of financial data with precision.Collaborate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and accounting teams to ensure seamless project operations.Essential SkillsProficiency in accounting, construction, accounts payable, billing, and job cost management.Experience in construction accounting, project accounting, job cost accounting, accounts payable, or a related accounting/finance role.Strong understanding of job cost tracking and financial documentation within a construction environment.Expertise in Microsoft Excel for advanced data analysis and reporting.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.Work EnvironmentThis role involves working in a dynamic construction environment where collaboration with various teams is essential. You will utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functions to analyze and report financial data. The position requires managing multiple projects simultaneously and effectively communicating with project managers, subcontractors, and accounting teams.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX 77060.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.44 - $31.25/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
