Construction Laborer – Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dependable Construction Laborer to support daily operations on residential and commercial job sites. This role involves physical labor, assisting skilled trades, and maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
Perform general labor tasks including digging, lifting, carrying materials, and debris removal
Load and unload tools, equipment, and building materials
Operate basic hand tools and small power tools safely
Assist carpenters, equipment operators, and other trades as needed
Set up and break down job site structures such as scaffolding, barricades, and temporary fencing
Prepare work areas by clearing debris, grading surfaces, and placing protective coverings
Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‐free job site
Complete additional tasks assigned by supervisors or foremen
Requirements
Ability to perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions
Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
Ability to lift 50–75 lbs regularly
Basic knowledge of construction tools and job site safety
Ability to follow instructions and work well with a team
Qualifications
Previous construction or outdoor labor experience
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
Experience with small equipment (skid loader, compactor, etc.)
Familiarity with residential or commercial construction environments
