Salary/Pay Rate: $17.00 – $25.00+ per hour (Based on Experience)

The Opportunity

Moceri Companies is seeking a dependable and self-motivated Construction Laborer to support residential construction and remodeling projects in Auburn Hills and surrounding developments. This is an entry-level opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple phases of residential construction. You'll work alongside Project Managers and other construction professionals, helping keep jobsites organized, materials where they're needed, and projects moving smoothly from groundbreaking through customer move-in.

We're looking for someone who can work independently, take initiative, and recognize what needs to be done without requiring constant direction. Because this position involves traveling between project locations and transporting tools and building materials, candidates must have a truck or other suitable personal vehicle for work-related transportation. Vehicle and mileage reimbursement will be provided. How You Will Make an Impact

Construction & Jobsite Support

Assist Project Managers and construction team members with daily jobsite needs

Perform general construction labor across residential construction and remodeling projects

Load, unload, move, and stage building materials, tools, and supplies

Transport tools and building materials between assigned project locations as needed

Help prepare work areas for upcoming construction activities and trades

Support different phases of construction as projects progress from groundbreaking through completion

Assist with basic construction and remodeling tasks as directed

Take initiative to identify and complete jobsite tasks that help keep projects moving efficiently

Jobsite Organization & Quality

Maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites

Remove construction debris and keep active work areas clear and accessible

Organize and stage materials, tools, and supplies for upcoming work

Help protect completed work, fixtures, and finished surfaces from damage

Assist with final project preparation and cleanup before customer move-in

Pay close attention to workmanship and communicate potential quality concerns

Help maintain Moceri's standards for craftsmanship and jobsite presentation

Project & Team Support

Work independently while staying aligned with Project Manager priorities

Travel between Moceri developments and project locations as assigned

Communicate project needs, material requirements, and jobsite concerns to the appropriate team members

Work professionally around subcontractors, trades, homeowners, and other project personnel

Follow assigned tasks through to completion

Adapt to changing priorities as construction projects progress

Safety & Equipment

Follow company and jobsite safety procedures

Properly use tools, equipment, and required personal protective equipment

Maintain awareness of surrounding trades, vehicles, equipment, and construction activities

Safely load, secure, transport, and unload tools and building materials

Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Required Qualifications & Experience

Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently

Dependable attendance and punctuality

Strong work ethic and willingness to perform hands-on construction work

Ability to take direction while also working effectively without constant supervision

Willingness to learn residential construction methods and jobsite operations

Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the workday

Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying jobsite and weather conditions

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to work professionally with Project Managers, subcontractors, trades, and other construction personnel

Must have a truck or other suitable personal vehicle capable of transporting tools and building materials

Ability and willingness to travel between Auburn Hills and surrounding project locations as needed

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

Previous experience in residential construction, remodeling, general labor, carpentry, maintenance, landscaping, material handling, or another hands-on trade

Familiarity with basic hand and power tools

Experience working on active residential construction sites

Basic understanding of construction materials and jobsite safety

Experience supporting new-home construction or residential remodeling projects

Previous construction experience is helpful but not required. Candidates with a strong work ethic, dependable transportation, and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Compensation & Benefits

$17.00 – $25.00+ per hour, based on experience
