Job TitleLandscape Construction SpecialistJob DescriptionMinimum Requirements:Minimum 1-3 years experience in same or related fieldHigh School Diploma or equivalent credentials preferredKnowledge of basic planting techniquesUnderstanding of safe operation of small hand tools and limited landscape equipmentHard working, reliable and the desire to learn and grow with the companyThe ability to perform all landscape operations required to achieve the Sea Island standardComplete work in a timely fashion within preset time limitsGood communication skills, both written and verbalUnderstand landscape installation procedures and how they affect the overall appearance of our clients' propertiesUphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and proceduresMust possess a positive attitude and have the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with coworkers efficiently and effectivelyMust be detail oriented and able to manage competing priorities and multiple deadlines in a fast paced environmentAbility to easily adapt to organizational and environmental changesMust be flexible to working days, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidaysReport to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in compliance with company dress code policyTasks/Responsibilities:Ability to perform landscape construction responsibilities including, but not limited to, plant installation, hand grading, sod installation, staking, watering, debris removal and all other labor requirements to complete a specific jobThe ability to safely operate or learn to operate landscape equipment such as chain saws, plate compactors, rollers, blowers, etc.Perform duties using tools such as shovels, rakes, brooms, wheel barrows, root feeders, sod cutters, etc.Implement lawn and landscape construction standards involving tree, shrub and perennial planting, proper grading techniques and all other standards as they will applyPerform daily equipment servicing, preparation and loading dutiesMaintain cleanliness and organization in all work areasUphold appropriate departmental standards of quality and timingReport all equipment problems and any known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to supervisor immediatelyAttend all scheduled meetings and bring suggestions for improvementWilling and timely execution of other duties as delegated by leadershipPhysical Responsibilities:Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, balance, reach, bend, push, pull and walk for prolonged periodsAbility to perform repetitive tasks with accuracyIf applicable, must have the ability to work for extended periods of time in an outdoor environment, including sun, heat, cold, wind, rain and higher than normal noise levelsAbility to lift, carry, pull and push up to 50 lbs. intermittently throughout a shiftAbility to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbalMaintain compliance with Company Resort Professional Image PolicyEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
