Project Manager – Indianapolis
A well-established general contractor in Indianapolis is looking to add an experienced Project Manager to their team. This is an opportunity for a construction professional who wants to take ownership of projects, work closely with clients and trade partners, and grow within an established organization.
The ideal candidate has a strong commercial construction background and experience managing projects from preconstruction through closeout.
About the Role
The Project Manager will oversee projects throughout the full construction lifecycle, managing budgets, schedules, contracts, project documentation, and relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and vendors.
You’ll work closely with the Superintendent and project team to ensure projects stay on schedule, within budget, and meet the company's quality standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
Own project budgets, schedules, contracts, and financial performance
Coordinate closely with Superintendents and field teams
Manage owners, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants
Lead project meetings and maintain clear project communication
Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and project documentation
Review plans, specifications, scopes, and contracts
Track project schedules and proactively address potential delays
Identify and resolve project issues throughout construction
Maintain strong relationships with clients and project partners
Assist with preconstruction, estimating, and project turnover as needed
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of commercial construction experience
Proven experience as a Project Manager with a General Contractor
Experience managing projects from start to finish
Background in commercial, healthcare, education, multifamily, hospitality, industrial, or institutional construction
Strong understanding of construction budgets, schedules, contracts, and project documentation
Ability to communicate effectively with owners, architects, subcontractors, and field teams
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Experience with Procore or similar construction management software preferred
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
