AbouttheRole
NewWestBuildingCompanyProjectManagersareresponsibleforoverseeingandcoordinatingallaspectsofaprojectfrompreconstructionthroughcloseoutandwarranty.Thisrolerequiresstrongcommunicationandcollaborationwithclients,designteams,andinternal/externalfieldandofficeteams.TheProjectManagerisaccountableformanagingbudget,quality,andschedulewhiledrivingalignmentacrossallstakeholders.
KeyResponsibilities
Leadpreconstructioncoordination,includingestimatingsupportandcontractnegotiations
Correspondwithsubcontractpartnersregardingscopes,proposals,andshopdrawings
Workcloselywithinternalprojectteamstoresolvedesignissuesandensurestrongcoordinationbetweenfieldandofficestaff
Coordinatewiththeowneranddesignteamtoincorporatecompetitivepricingand/orpresentvalueengineeringopportunities
ConductsubcontractorandOACmeetingsweekly(orasneeded)tomaintainalignmentonprogressandactionabletasks
Managechangeorderprocesseswithownersandsubcontractorsinatimelymanner
UpholdastrongcommitmenttoOSHAandNWBCsafetypolicies,ensuringteammembersreturnhomesafelyeachday
Coordinatewithfieldleadershiptoupdateandcontroltheprojectschedule
Maintainproperdocumentcontrol,includingplans,RFIs,submittals,andotherprojectdocumentation
Executecloseoutproceduresandprojectcommissioningwhilemaintainingapositiveownerrelationship
Ensurepredictablemonthlybillingsandsubcontractorpaymentsbypartneringwiththeaccountingteam
PreferredQualifications&Experience
Minimum4yearsofexperienceinasimilarProjectManagerrole
Bachelor’sdegreepreferred
Operationalexperiencewith:Procore,SageIntacct,Bluebeam,MicrosoftOffice,MSProject,Planera.
Provenabilitytooperatesuccessfullyonlargeteamswithprofessionalism,respect,confidence,andenthusiasm
Workingknowledgeofconstructionmanagementprocesses,applicablerules/regulations,andqualitystandards
