Construction Repair Technician – Skilled TradesSERVPRO of Adamstown / York City Full-Time $25–$30 per hour, based on experienceSERVPRO is looking for an experienced, well-rounded Construction Repair Technician to join our growing reconstruction and restoration team. This is not a general labor position. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working independently, takes pride in their craftsmanship, and has experience completing a variety of residential and commercial repairs. The primary responsibility of this position will be completing reconstruction and repair projects, while also assisting our mitigation division when skilled trade work is needed. Typical Reconstruction Work Projects will commonly include:Drywall installation, patching, finishing, and repairsInterior painting and touch-up workBaseboard, casing, and other finish trim installationDoor and hardware installationLVP, laminate, and other flooring installation and repairsMinor framing and carpentryCabinetry and countertop detach/reset or installationPunch-list and warranty repairsSmall residential and commercial reconstruction projectsOther general construction repairs as neededExperience in additional trades such as tile, cabinetry, light plumbing, light electrical, framing, or finish carpentry is required. Mitigation & Restoration Support Because SERVPRO is a restoration company, this position will also assist our mitigation crews when skilled construction experience is needed. This may include:Emergency repairs and temporary stabilizationBoard-ups and securing damaged structuresControlled demolition and material removalDetaching building materials or fixtures to facilitate mitigationMinor framing or structural repairsAssisting with specialty construction-related tasks following water, fire, mold, or storm damageHelping our mitigation and reconstruction teams move projects forward efficientlyWhat We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who can walk into a smaller repair project, understand what needs to be done, and complete quality work independently. Preferred qualifications include:3+ years of residential or commercial construction/remodeling experienceStrong drywall finishing and repair skillsInterior painting experienceFinish carpentry and trim experienceFlooring installation experienceAbility to perform accurate measurements and material takeoffsAbility to troubleshoot construction problems in the fieldComfortable working independently or alongside a larger crewStrong attention to detail and pride in workmanshipAbility to communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and project managersValid driver's license and dependable transportationAbility to lift construction materials and perform physically demanding workExperience in restoration or insurance reconstruction is helpful but not required. Compensation $25–$30 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated skill level. Higher compensation may be considered for candidates with strong multi-trade experience who can independently complete projects from start to finish. This is a full-time position with steady year-round work and the opportunity to become an important part of a growing construction and restoration operation.
