Job description
We are seeking an experienced Primavera P6 Construction Scheduler to develop, manage, and analyze complex project schedules for large-scale construction and infrastructure projects valued at $100-$200 million.
The ideal candidate brings advanced CPM scheduling expertise, strong construction knowledge, and experience supporting multidisciplinary projects. Experience with electrical infrastructure, including traffic signals, street lighting, fiber, or similar public works, is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed CPM schedules using Primavera P6
Create baseline schedules, master integrated schedules, and work breakdown structures
Monitor critical paths, schedule performance, milestones, and variances
Conduct schedule health checks and DCMA 14-Point Assessments
Identify schedule logic, quality, and sequencing issues
Perform schedule risk analyses using Monte Carlo or similar methodologies
Develop and evaluate fragnets for schedule changes and delay events
Prepare schedule recovery plans and recommend mitigation strategies
Develop cost- and resource-loaded project schedules
Apply Earned Value Management principles to evaluate project performance
Prepare and document Time Impact Analyses in accordance with Caltrans and City of Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering requirements
Support project financial forecasting and contract change-order management
Prepare clear schedule reports and communicate findings to project stakeholders
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered
7-10 years of experience developing and managing CPM project schedules in Primavera P6
Verifiable scheduling experience across multiple disciplines on projects valued at $100-$200 million
Building construction or project management experience
Experience scheduling electrical infrastructure or similar public works projects strongly preferred
Technical Expertise
Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6, including baseline schedule development
Advanced knowledge of CPM scheduling, critical path analysis, and schedule variance analysis
Experience with schedule analyzer tools and DCMA 14-Point Assessments
Knowledge of schedule risk analysis and delay analysis methodologies
Experience developing fragnets and Time Impact Analyses
Advanced knowledge of cost and resource loading
Working knowledge of Earned Value Management methodologies and calculations
Strong financial forecasting and change-order management skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite
