AbouttheRole
AConstructionSuperintendent willleadday-to-dayfieldoperationsforresidentialand/orcommercialprojectsandisresponsibleformanagingjobsiteexecutionfromplanningthroughcompletion—drivingschedule,quality,safety,andcoordinationacrosstradesandstakeholders.TheSuperintendentworksinclosepartnershipwiththeProjectManagerandcommunicatesregularlywithowners,tenants,anddesignteamstoensureexpectationsaremetandconstructiondocumentsareexecutedtoNWBCstandards.
KeyResponsibilities
Meetwithbuildingowners/tenantstoreviewbuild-outspecificationsandplannedimprovements
Createestimatesforbuild-outprojects(labor,materials,supplies,andancillarycosts)
Coordinateallconstructionservicesandactivitieson-site
Maintainandmanagedaily/weekly/monthlyschedulesandsupportbudgetcontrol;adjustasneededtohitdeadlines
Leadandmanageon-siteconstructioncrewsandsubcontractors
AttendproductionmeetingsandmaintainconstantcommunicationwiththeProjectManager
Maintainadailyjobsitelogandtakedailyphotos
EnsureworkmeetsqualityexpectationsofNewWestBuildingCompany,theclient/designteam,andtheconstructiondocuments
Placematerialordersandmaintainresponsibilityforequipmentandmaterialson-site
Monitorsafetycompliance;maintainprojectsafety/injurylogsandupholdsafeworkpractices
Maintainsitecleanlinessandoverallorderliness
Keepdetailedrecordsforsitepersonnelandjobsiteactivities
Overseeallphasesoftheprojectthroughcompletion
Performotherdutiesasprojectneedsarisetosupporttheoverallsuccessoftheprojectandtheprojectteam
Qualifications&Experience
Minimum5yearsofexperienceasaConstructionSuperintendentorinasimilarrole
Strongunderstandingofconstructionoperations,sequencing,andfieldcoordination
Knowledgeoflocalquality,safety,andhealthguidelinesforconstructionjobsites
ProficiencywithMSOfficeSuite(Project,Excel,Word),Procore,andBluebeam
Demonstratedstrengthsin: Organizationandtimemanagement
Leadershipandcollaborationwithdiverseinternal/externalpartners
Adaptability,responsiveness,andclearcommunication
OSHA30certification
Competentunderstandingof: Safeworkpractices
Planreading,shopdrawings,andspecifications
Submittals,RFIs,andscopesofwork
Surveyingandchangeorders
QA/QCandcoderequirements
Inspectionschedulingandsignoff
Abilitytoliftupto75pounds
Travel: Estimatedat15%orless(primarilyjobsite-to-jobsiteorjobsite-to-office).Avaliddriver’slicenseisrequiredforrequisitetravel.
