ConstructionSuperintendent
LaRosaBuildingGroup,LLC,aGeneralContractor/ConstructionManager,isseekingaConstructionSuperintendentwithaminimumof10years’experienceasaConstructionSuperintendent.Thisopeningisformultiplefull-timelong-termpositioninConnecticutandoffersbenefits.Positionisopenandavailableimmediately.ApplicantsmustpossesstheessentialskillsandexperiencelistedintheJobDescriptionbelow.Experiencewithoutofthegroundmultifamilywoodframedprojectsispreferred.Basiccomputerskillsarerequired;familiaritywithProcoresoftwareishelpfulbutnotnecessarilyrequired.Experiencemanagingprojectsisarequirement.
Responsibilities
Responsibilitieswillincludebutnotlimitedtoscheduling,coordinatingandsupervisingalltradecontractorsonsite.Maintaindailylogs,attendjobmeetings,maintainasbuilt’sandcloseoutdocs.Assistinresolvingconstructionproblems.Qualifiedapplicantsmusthaveknowledgeofallaspectsofconstruction.
Supervisessubcontractorsandforementoensuretimelyandqualitycompletionofcontractedwork.
Planandcoordinateconstructionactivities,inspectconstructionworkinprogress,andreviewmaterialsforcompliancewithspecifications,plans,andstandards.
InconjunctionwithProjectManager,manageprojectscheduletoensureallprojectdeadlinesareachieved.
CultivateaworkingrelationshipwithProjectManagers,ProjectLaborers,TradeContractorsandclientsinamannerthatencouragesacooperative,teameffortandprofessionalapproach.
Ensureprojectquality,cost,andschedulemeetorbeatestimates.
ServesasaliaisonbetweentheOwner,Architect,Engineer,ContractorandSubcontractortoresolvequestionsand/orconcernsarisingduringthecourseofconstruction.
AssisttheProjectManagerinpreparationofaggressivebutrealisticconstructionschedules.
Reviews,plansandscheduleswithProjectManagertoobtainpersonnel,materialandequipmentneedsandsubcontractorperformanceinamannerconsistentwithscheduledrequirements,budgetedcostandtimelydeliveries.
EnsurethatSafetyregulationsandSafepracticesarefollowedatalltimes.
Responsibleforimplementing,maintainingandenforcingallprojectsafetyprocedures.
Completeprojectrecords,includingdailyprojectprogressreportsandcrewtimesheets.
Holdweeklyjobprogressmeetingswithallsubcontractorstocoordinateprojectprogress.
MaintainaccurateAs-Builtdrawings.
ImplementQualityControlProgram.
Requirements
10+yearsrelatedsupervisoryexperienceintheconstructionindustry.
Abilitytomeetdeadlines,staywithinbudget,andproduceanexceptionalproject.
Abilitytoplanaheadandextinguishpotentialissuesbeforetheybecomeissues.
Experiencesupervisingcommercialprojectsrangingfrom$1,000,000to$25,000,000.
Abilitytoorganizeandmanagemultiplepriorities.
ExcellentOrganizationalSkills
AbilitytoWorkinaTeamEnvironment
Abilitytoreadandunderstandtechnicaldata,interpretconstructiondrawings,architecturaldrawingsandspecifications.
Musthaveexperienceinalldivisionsofwork,methods,materialsandscheduling.
Basiclayoutskills.
Proficientwithcomputerskills.
Excellentverbalandwrittencommunicationskills.
KnowledgeofSafetyregulationsandSafepracticesfortheConstructionIndustry.
OSHA30-HourCertification.
