About the Company
A rapidly growing commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to join its team in Northern Virginia. The company specializes in commercial interiors, tenant fit-outs, government projects, secure facilities (SCIFs), and service work, delivering projects across the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond.

About the Role
The company is seeking a Superintendent with experience managing commercial interior, government, and secure facility projects. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys running projects from the field, coordinating multiple trades, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.
The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day site operations on a variety of commercial construction projects throughout the Northern Virginia and Mid-Atlantic markets. While this role is primarily based in Northern Virginia, the ideal candidate should be open to travel as project demands require.

Key Responsibilities
Manage all on-site construction activities from project kickoff through closeout
Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and project stakeholders
Develop and maintain project schedules and site logistics plans
Conduct daily site walks and safety meetings
Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and company safety standards
Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents
Monitor project quality, productivity, and schedule performance
Coordinate deliveries, manpower requirements, and material procurement
Identify and resolve field issues to minimize project delays
Maintain daily reports and progress documentation
Lead client walkthroughs, inspections, and project turnover activities
Work closely with Project Managers to ensure successful project delivery
Qualifications
5+ years of Superintendent experience within commercial construction
Experience managing commercial interiors, tenant improvement, government, or SCIF projects preferred
Strong understanding of construction sequencing and field operations
Ability to oversee multiple subcontractors and maintain project schedules
Experience working in occupied or secure environments is highly desirable
Willingness to travel as required for project needs
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Valid driver's license
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive base salary commensurate with experience
Performance bonus opportunity of $20,000 - $80,000
