Description

Founded in 1876, Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC) is the nation's longest-serving conservation and recreation organization. AMC's mission is to foster the protection, enjoyment, and understanding of the outdoors. Through conservation, outdoor recreation, lodging and hospitality, education, volunteer engagement, policy advocacy, and membership, AMC works across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic to ensure that the outdoors is protected, accessible, and valued for generations to come.

AMC recognizes that employees develop different strengths over time. Some technicians may become highly skilled in construction, carpentry, renovation, and project work, while others may develop specialized knowledge of facility systems, operations, troubleshooting, and regulatory compliance. The Construction Technician position is designed to support professional growth through experience, certifications, technical competency, leadership, and demonstrated responsibility. Advancement and compensation progression are based on skill development, performance, certifications, safety practices, and contributions to the department.
