Accounts Payable SpecialistGHJ Search and Staffing serves as the recruitment division of GHJ, a prominent national accounting and advisory firm. GHJ's relationship with our Global Advisory and Accounting Network provides the resources needed to better understand client's needs, attract a higher caliber of candidates and assess candidate potential.A well-established manufacturing company in Long Beach is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team on a short-term contract basis. This is a great fit for an accounting professional who's comfortable jumping into a high-volume, fast-moving AP function and hitting the ground running.What You'll DoProcess operating and manufacturing invoices within the company's ERP systemHandle full-cycle AP, including invoice review, coding, and payment processingPrepare and run weekly payment cycles (ACH, wire transfers, and checks)Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepanciesMonitor A/P aging reports to catch and resolve outstanding or missed paymentsMaintain accurate, up-to-date vendor recordsPartner with internal teams and vendors to keep invoice processing and payment issues movingWhat You Bring3–5 years of full-cycle Accounts Payable experienceHands-on ERP system experience required (QuickBooks-only experience won't meet the need for this role)A sharp eye for detail and accuracyComfort adapting and reprioritizing in a fast-paced settingAdvanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs$25 - $30 an hour
