Job description
Contract Director of Nursing (Skilled Nursing) leads nursing operations in a long-term care setting, ensuring high-quality geriatric care and regulatory compliance. The role oversees staffing, training, and care planning for residents in Winona, Minnesota, for a 26-week assignment. The director collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to drive patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality geriatric care in the long-term care unit.
Oversee daily nursing operations and staffing schedules to meet patient needs efficiently.
Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations governing long-term care facilities.
Document and assess resident progress, updating care plans accordingly.
Implement training and mentorship programs for nursing staff to foster professional development.
Qualifications:
Minnesota RN license
AHA BLS certification
Minimum of 2+ years geriatric nursing experience
At least 2 years in a long-term care facility
Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call rotations
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred Skills:
Certification in geriatric or long-term care nursing
Leadership or management certification
Proficiency with Matrix EMR system
Previous experience as a Manager, Lead, or Director of Nursing

You hold a Minnesota RN license and BLS certification. You have 2+ years geriatric nursing in long-term care. You excel at leading interdisciplinary teams and staff development
