Job description
Overview
Contract faculty position for the Department of Social Work & Public Administration at Seton Hall University. The role is a one-year, full-time appointment involving teaching courses in Public Administration, conducting recruitment activities for the Department's graduate programs, and providing administrative support to the Department.
Responsibilities
Teach courses in the MPA program dependent upon programmatic need, based on area of specialization. Expertise in nonprofit management and experiential education is highly desirable.
Support the University's commitment to grow enrollments and ensure the academic vibrancy of the Department's graduate programs through recruitment, training, and potentially publishing a newsletter.
Required Qualifications
Strong administrative skills
Excellent organizational skills, written communication skills, attention to detail
Terminal degree (Ph.D. or other doctoral-level degree) in Public Administration or related field
Desired Qualifications
Data driven and familiarity with reporting and analysis
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and proven ability to learn and use new technology, including social media and university systems
Able and willing to work non-standard/varied working hours and to travel independently
