Job description

Elevated Treatment & Recovery Solutions is seeking an Illinois-licensed physician to provide part-time medical direction and consultation as the organization expands its licensed substance use disorder services.

Our East Moline agency currently provides Illinois-licensed DUI Evaluations, DUI Risk Education, Uniform Report Updates, Secretary of State Denial Responses, and Secretary of State Investigative Evaluations. We are preparing for the addition of clinical substance use disorder treatment services.

Anticipated responsibilities may include:

Providing medical oversight consistent with Illinois DHS-DBHR requirements.

Reviewing and approving applicable medical policies, procedures, and clinical protocols.

Consulting on medical-risk criteria and referral procedures.

Reviewing designated assessments or records when medical consultation is indicated.

Supporting ASAM-aligned admission, continued-service, referral, and discharge practices.

Participating in periodic quality, safety, and compliance review.

Remaining reasonably available for scheduled consultation with clinical leadership.

Assisting the organization in establishing compliant medical-oversight procedures during treatment-program development.

This is expected to be a limited-hours contractual role rather than a full-time clinical position. Most work may be performed remotely, with occasional meetings or onsite participation as required by the final regulatory and operational scope.

MD or DO with an active, unrestricted Illinois license.

Eligible to practice and contract in Illinois.

Familiarity with substance use disorders, behavioral health, primary care, psychiatry, emergency medicine, addiction medicine, or a related field.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with Illinois substance use disorder programs.

Familiarity with ASAM criteria.

Addiction medicine or addiction psychiatry experience.

Experience serving as a medical director, consulting physician, or utilization-review physician.

Understanding of co-occurring medical and behavioral health conditions.

Location:
