Education
Required - Registered nurse diploma.
Preferred - Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Certifications
Required - Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice.
Required - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred - Certification in clinical specialty area.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs)
Proficiency in using computers, software, and web‑based applications.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Good organizational and time‑management skills and ability to be self‑directed.
Ability to demonstrate good judgement.
Job Duties
Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies appropriate for the diverse needs of the patient, family and other groups or disciplines.
Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources (human and fiscal) properly and serves as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.
Uses data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change in order to achieve optimal outcomes.
Embraces concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale and improvement in the profession of nursing.
Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanations of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.

Physical and Environmental Demands
Heavy work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The duties performed routinely require exposure to blood, body fluid and tissue. The incumbent works in a patient‑care area and may be exposed to communicable diseases and hazardous medications or waste. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
Requirements
Registered Nurse - Louisiana or Compact.
1‑year experience required.
2‑year experience preferred.
Benefits
Health insurance available upon start of assignment.
Local RN: $45 per hour (fully taxable, no stipend eligible).
Local RN overtime/holiday pay: $67.50 per hour.
Travel RN: $1,900 per week ($25 per hour taxable + $1,000 weekly stipend non‑taxable).
Travel RN overtime/holiday pay: $67.50 per hour.
