Role Overview
Apply commercial contracting expertise to help improve next-generation AI systems through high-quality, real-world legal input. This confidential, remote engagement centers on the day-to-day work of in-house commercial counsel, including reviewing agreements, revising drafts, and applying established policy positions. Prior AI experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities
Review and redline commercial agreements, including MSAs, NDAs, DPAs, and similar documents, using established playbooks and policies.
Identify key issues in draft agreements, determine applicable company positions, and assess acceptable fallback outcomes.
Write clear, well-reasoned explanations for each redline or revision.
Apply contract drafting, negotiation, and technology transactions knowledge to real-world legal documents.
Collaborate with the project team to maintain consistent standards and interpretations.
Maintain exceptional attention to detail and high standards of legal writing and contract-review quality.
Work independently in a remote, deadline-driven environment.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active bar admission in a U.S. jurisdiction.
At least 4 years of transactional experience at a law firm or as an in-house attorney, with a focus on contract drafting, review, and negotiation.
Strong contract drafting, contract negotiation, contract redlining, and technology transactions skills.
Deep familiarity with commercial provisions such as limitation of liability, indemnification, confidentiality, and data protection.
Ability to synthesize complex legal concepts into clear, actionable written analysis.
Sound judgment and a high degree of accuracy in contract review and interpretation.
Technology transactions expertise is a strong plus.
Adaptability and motivation to contribute to an innovative, confidential legal project.
Work Terms
Independent contractor engagement.
Remote role limited to candidates based in the United States.

Compensation
$90 to $110 per hour.
