Control & Automation Engineer
We are seeking a Control & Automation Engineer with experience developing PLC and industrial control applications, preferably within the power and energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain control software using IEC 61131-3 , particularly Structured Text (ST) .
Develop control logic including state machines, sequencing, interlocks, alarms, and equipment coordination.
Integrate industrial controllers with field devices and supervisory systems.
Implement and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, and IEC 61850 .
Support testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of control systems.
Preferred Experience
Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred:
Substation or utility automation
Power system protection and control
Microgrids
Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
Renewable energy integration
SCADA / EMS
Power-system controls research or laboratory work
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with SEL RTAC controllers.
Experience with SEL-3555 or similar SEL platforms.
Experience with SEL development and configuration tools.
Experience developing PLC or industrial controller applications using IEC 61131-3 languages.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience , or
Master’s degree in a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience , or
PhD in a related field. xavwley
