Hands-on training provided for motivated career orientated applicantsSouthlake Automation is seeking a full-time Industrial Automation Assembly Technician. This position is an exciting hands-on role in the high-tech automation industry. You will be responsible for assembling and wiring control panels as well as other industrial automation equipment. In addition to control panels, responsibilities include the setup of robotic work cells for machine tending, packing and palletizing. Each system is unique for our customers' manufacturing applications.Opportunities:Learn to read electrical schematicsWork with mechanical assembly drawingBecome technically proficient installing industrial automation components including PLCs, drives, networks, robot controllersWork in a dynamic environment building unique systems with each projectResponsibilities:Light assembly includes drilling metal enclosures and mounting electrical componentsWiring PLCs and other electrical components to electrical schematicsIn-house setup and wiring of complete manufacturing controls equipment; including robot cells, robot tooling, conveyors, and other auxiliary equipmentField wiring on an as-need basisOther duties as requested, including shipping, receiving, and building maintenanceRequirements:0 to 10 years of experienceAbility to use power tools including hand drill, jig saw, etc.Ability to read a tape measureAttention to detailGood organizational skillsBenefits:Health insuranceLife insurancePaid Time Off Plan (PTO)Holiday payRetirement plan
