By providing a high level of benefit coverage at a reasonable cost to the employee, we hope to foster a long and productive employment relationship.Summary: The Control Room Operator oversees material processing, flow, and quality within the Anodizing Department. Key responsibilities include monitoring chemical process tanks, maintaining equipment, performing quality control checks, and ensuring workplace safety and operational compliance.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:Performs daily equipment inspections and calibrations, and verifies the temperature of treatment tanks to ensure proper operation before production begins.Uses a Konica Minolta Color Meter to verify the quality and consistency of the coloring operation, adjusting voltage and time as needed.Records voltage, current, time, and temperature of process tanks to ensure consistency and quality.Visually inspects all process tanks hourly to ensure trouble-free operations.Operates all cranes manually during crane malfunctions or line trouble to minimize downtime and ensure defect-free material.Performs weekly cleaning of Anodizing, Coloring, and Electro-Deposition terminal stands.Maintains a clean and organized assigned work area at all times in accordance with 5S standards.Assists in all scheduled departmental maintenance activities, including annual shutdowns.Performs other duties as required by the supervisor.Supervisory Responsibilities: No supervisory responsibilityEducation/Experience/Skills:High School diploma/GED (minimum)Must have at least 1 year experience within a manufacturing or production environment.Preferred experience working with chemicals.Basic computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office, etc.)Must have good communication and organizational skillsAbility to multitaskPhysical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and is expected to use proper lifting techniques at all times. Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit. The employee may occasionally be required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.Travel Requirements: The travel required for this position is less than 1%.Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position. Individuals are required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at designated times and in specified environments in accordance with established safety program requirements. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.
