Job description
We're partnering with a growing SaaS company in Marietta on a Controller search. This is a hands-on, "one-person finance department" role — you'll own accounting, finance, and lightweight HR operations for the business, reporting directly to leadership. SaaS/software industry experience is a must.
What you'll do:
Serve as the sole finance/accounting/HR resource, owning day-to-day operations end-to-end
Lead the transition from cash-basis to accrual accounting, including revenue recognition under ASC 606
Manage the general ledger, close process, and financial reporting in QuickBooks
Track and report on SaaS metrics (MRR/ARR, deferred revenue, churn) to support leadership decision-making
Build scalable finance processes and controls to support subscription-based growth
Partner with leadership on budgeting, cash flow, and financial planning
Payroll, benefits and 401(k) plan administration
HR administration (recruiting logistics, onboarding, policies)
What we're looking for:
7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including hands-on Controller or Senior Accountant work
SaaS or software industry experience is required
ASC 606 revenue recognition
CPA and Public Accounting strongly preferred
Comfort wearing multiple hats in a small-company environment
