Job description
Headfarmer is partnering with a large manufacturing company headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona! We are hiring an interim Controller who is available right away and can commit to a 3+ month engagement to help with the following: global consolidations, transfer pricing, month end ownership and process improvement.

Work model: hybrid- 2 to 3 days per week in office
Pay:
up to $85 per hour
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, treasury, and financial reporting
Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial statements
Manage global financial consolidations across multiple legal entities and international subsidiaries, including intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation, and consolidated reporting
Oversee intercompany accounting and transfer pricing processes, ensuring intercompany transactions are appropriately recorded, pricing methodologies are consistently applied, and documentation supports compliance with applicable tax regulations
Partner with tax advisors and international finance teams on transfer pricing policies, intercompany agreements and related compliance and reporting requirements
Spearhead process improvement and automation initiatives across accounting and finance departments
Coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and other regulatory reporting requirements
Mentor and develop the accounting team while collaborating cross-functionally with finance, tax, legal, and other business leaders
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA preferred
8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility in a Controller, Assistant Controller, or similar role
Demonstrated experience with multi-entity accounting, global consolidations and transfer pricing
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, along with strong ERP software experience
Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and familiarity with international accounting and reporting considerations
Excellent mentorship, leadership and communication experience
