Controller
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the organization's accounting operations and financial reporting functions. This individual will be responsible for managing the month-end close process, maintaining accurate financial records, performing complex account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, hands-on NetSuite experience, and a detail-oriented, investigative approach to identifying and resolving accounting discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Oversee general ledger accounting and financial reporting activities
Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
Analyze financial data and investigate variances, discrepancies, and unusual transactions
Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures
Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
Support external audits and coordinate audit requests
Manage cash flow reporting and balance sheet integrity
Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and accounting efficiencies
Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations
Utilize NetSuite to manage accounting operations, reporting, and data accuracy
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting xhqgsiq or Finance
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities
Strong experience managing month-end close processes
Advanced account reconciliation and balance sheet analysis skills
Hands-on NetSuite experience required
Demonstrated ability to investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
Experience supporting audits and maintaining internal controls
CPA preferred but not required
