Job description
I have a client located in the Hackettstown, NJ area that has an opportunity for a Controls Engineer. If you or any of your colleagues are interested in discussing this role.
In this role, you will be working as a Controls Engineer - Critical Power for a client that works in the power distribution industry. This position will be responsible for design, development and implementation of control systems for low and medium-voltage switchgear applications.
This position is a direct hire role that is a long term need for my client. This role must be worked on-site.
Pay; 130,000/Yr. depending on experience
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience in control system engineering with a focus on switchgear design and implementation
Program and configure PLCS - Siemens and Fanuc preferred
SCADA and HMI experience using WinCC and Wonderware
Configure and test protection relays, power meters and switchgear automation systems
Strong understanding of project relays, electrical schematics etc.
Execute Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
Perform specification reviews and project takeoffs
