Job description
Thermo Systems is hiring a mid-level Project Engineer to take ownership of controls deliverables on a large-scale data center program. Our projects run 10,000 to 40,000 IO points, 30+ PLCs, and multiple SCADA servers.
What you'll do:
Own tasks and issue resolution across design, programming, testing, and commissioning
Translate mechanical Sequences of Operations into control logic
Run QA/QC checks on control logic before commissioning
Resolve escalated PLC code and graphics problems
Standardize PLC changes across the facility so updates stay consistent building-wide
Interface directly with the client and drive deliverables with limited day-to-day direction
What we're looking for:
5 to 10 years of controls experience with a specialization in PLC programming
Schneider Electric experience preferred (function block diagram); Rockwell or Siemens backgrounds welcome
Strong command of schematics, network diagrams, and network architecture drawings
Independent, self-directed, and able to identify and prioritize tasks
Backgrounds in energy, oil and gas, data centers, or other large-scale, high-quality-standard control environments translate best
