Join us.Our Coon Valley location plays a vital role in ATI's Forged Products division by producing aerospace, jet engine and military components that meet the quality, reliability and safety standards of ATI and our customers.We are currently seeking a CNC Machinist to join our Coon Valley team. This position produces components by setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines, meeting ATI's high safety and quality standards and maintaining equipment and supplies. A successful CNC machinist is safety-focused, a problem solver and understands the importance of precision and quality.The person in this position will work 3rd shift 11pm-7am starting Sunday night. Training may be conducted on 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift. Compensation for this role is $25/hrResponsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Raw material incoming visual inspectionPerforming manufacturing operations on CNC lathesMachining parts to meet tolerances for final inspection.Inspecting and cleaning the finished product at the end of the production cycleProduct final inspectionWorking closely with manufacturing leadership and fellow team members to achieve shared goals.Perform preventative maintenance tasks.Accurate completion of required documentation.ATI offers a strong benefits package that includes medical/dental/vision (and more), and eligibility begins on the 1st of the month following the date of hire, 401(k) with a generous employer contribution and match,120 hours of paid time off annually (includes vacation, personal and sick time) + 12 paid holidays annually.Basic QualificationsBasic reading, math, and measurement comprehensionThe ability to read instructions and perform simple measurements is criticalPreferredHigh school diploma or GEDMachining certificate or prior CNC machining experience preferred but will train a motivated entry-level candidate.1 year of experience in a transferrable industry with transferrable skillsSkillsDedication to safe working practicesCommitment to continuous development of machining skill setAbility to lift 50 poundsAbility to problem solveStrong attention to detailHigh level of mechanical aptitudeAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong verbal and written communication skills.We thrive when the expectations are great, and the barriers are high.
