Description
Join the dynamic team at Cotton Culinary as a Cook where you'll create unforgettable culinary experiences! As a hands-on leader, you'll be responsible for meal execution, and preparing high-quality dishes for large-scale events. Your role is integral to delivering exceptional culinary experiences for clients during high-profile events, making a direct impact by preparing and presenting meals that reflect Cotton's high standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Menu Execution: Oversee every aspect of meal preparation and service during large-scale banquets and events.
Hands-On Cooking: Be an integral part of the kitchen team, preparing, cooking, and presenting meals to ensure a top-tier culinary experience.
Ensure Quality & Efficiency: Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation, ensuring meals are served on time and to the client's satisfaction.
Inventory Reporting: Provide input on inventory, storage, and rotation of ingredients, ensuring that everything is prepared in compliance with safety and health regulations.
Client Relations: Serve as the main point of contact for clients during events, providing excellent service and resolving any issues in real-time.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Education & Experience
3-5 years of commercial cooking experience, with a focus on quality and high-volume events.
Formal culinary training or additional certifications are a plus.
Experience in banquet or catering environments, focusing on meal preparation and flawless execution.
Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.
Ability and availability to travel nationwide.
Knowledge & Skills
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
Expert knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation.
Ability to manage and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and efficient kitchen.
Exceptional interpersonal skills to maintain client relationships and handle high-pressur...ed situations.
Proficiency with commercial kitchen equipment and experience in maintaining food safety standards.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and adapt to the physical demands of the job.
