Join the team at Friendship Village Chesterfield, a senior living community committed to providing exceptional service while creating a supportive and rewarding environment for employees.
We are currently hiring a Full-Time Cook to prepare high-quality, nutritious meals for our residents while helping create an exceptional dining experience.
Available Openings
* Schedule: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM
* Rotating Weekends Required
Cook Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes and production schedules
* Ensure food is prepared, plated, and presented according to quality standards
* Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention guidelines
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
* Properly store, label, and rotate food products
* Assist with meal preparation, special events, and catering as needed
* Monitor food quality, temperatures, and portion sizes
* Collaborate with the Culinary Services team to ensure an exceptional dining experience for residents
* Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
* Support a positive, team-oriented work environment
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent preferred
* Previous cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare, senior living, hospitality, or institutional setting preferred
* Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
* Dependable attendance and punctuality
