Copy Operations TechnicianPosition Title - Copy Operations TechnicianPosition Type - Temporary Part-TimeHiring Location - Terry Campus-Dover, DESalary - $15.76/hourClassification Title - Copy Operations TechnicianJob Code - 4070 (FT), 4570 (PT)FLSA - Non-ExemptPosition Pay Grade - B/C 04Position Specific Details - The Copy Operations Technician is responsible for producing printed materials requested by academic and administrative departments across the Terry Campus, ensuring projects are completed accurately and in a timely manner. The position operates high-volume copy equipment and a variety of finishing machines, including binders, folders, cutters, hole punchers, and fax machines, to prepare completed materials for distribution. Responsibilities also include maintaining copy production logs, stocking and maintaining equipment, troubleshooting minor machine issues, requisitioning supplies with appropriate approvals, and ensuring the copy center operates efficiently to meet the printing needs of the campus.Nature and Scope - An incumbent in this class functions with general supervision typically from a technical or administrative supervisor. An incumbent is responsible for the production of copy work for all departments within the facility. A significant aspect of this work involves maintaining the operational efficiency of the copy center by scheduling the work flow and actual copy machine operation.Principal Accountabilities - An incumbent may perform any combination of the below listed accountabilities:Stocks, cleans, and adjusts machines.Corrects stoppage with minor adjustments and cleaning.Operates copy machine and any auxiliary equipment, including but not limited to, fax machines, binders, folders, cutters, and hole drillers.Maintains copy log.Folds, hole punches, cuts, and/or binds reproduced materials.Requisitions supplies with proper approval.Produces transparencies.Maintains utilization records.Organizes and priorities work flow.Supervises clerical personnel as assigned.Performs other related duties as required.Knowledge Skills and Abilities - Knowledge of operating photocopy machine and related machinery. Knowledge of copyright reservation laws. Ability to diagnose and repair minor equipment problems. Ability to prioritize and organize work flow. Ability to read and write, and follow instructions. Ability to operate photocopy machines and auxiliary equipment.Minimum Qualifications - High school diploma or GED; or other equivalent combination of education and experience.
