What will you do?
Organizes copes, drags, pipe parts, cores, hand tools, etc., necessary to complete assigned assembly jobs and checks all available documentation (travelers, special instructions, etc.) which is available.
Prior to performing assembly operations, cleans pipe parts, etc., using hand tools as well as clean up all rough surfaces with mud, paste, etc., and blows with air hose to remove excess sand
Performs assembly operations according to established close dimensional requirements using necessary fixtures.
Inspects all copes, drags, pipe parts, cores, hand tools, etc., prior to cleaning and assembling and scraps materials which are damaged or unusable to minimize production delay and rework.
Form and assemble cores around patterns and position in mold using hand tools and glue.
Acquire additional certifications and credentials as required for work or career development
Maintain a clean, organized work area
Comply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
Ability to work at the Bloomington facility
Work on/participate in special projects as needed or assigned by Management
Level of Assembler is based on completed quality training of complex molds
What are we looking for in potential candidates?
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience in a precision focused, complex assembly or hands on position
Job stability and growth minded
Ability to work 3-11:30 pm M-F and overtime if needed
