n nRole Purpose

nOverview of Finance Development Program Corning's summer internship experience is rich with hands-on learning. You'll live, work, and experience the communities in which Corning operates, while building on-the-job skills. Interns are expected to deliver results against our business and financial objectives, applying knowledge and practices both independently and as a team. Working with a supervisor, you will gain work experience while interacting with key technologies, subject matter experts and leaders. The purpose of the Finance Intern Program is to raise the bar on talent by strengthening our pipeline for entry level roles for immediate and future needs.

n nRequirements

nnnWorking towards a Bachelor's degree in: Accounting, Economics, and/or Finance or equivalent

n

nnStrong computer skills; proficiency in Excel / PowerPoint required

n

nnSarbanes-Oxley knowledge required

n

nnTo be considered for an internship at Corning Incorporated, you must be actively enrolled at a college or university as a full-time student seeking a bachelor's degree or higher.

n

nnMust be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2027 (May-August 2027) with a graduation date of December 2027 or later

n

nnBe interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity.

nnBe willing to work at the posted job location

n nQualifications

nnnWorking towards a Master's degree in related area not required but desirable

n

nnCertifications desirable (e.g. CPA, CMA, CFA, etc.)

n

nnSix Sigma Green belt/Black belt certification - a plus

n

nnGeneral cost and accounting knowledge

nnExperience in a Finance/ Accounting with class or internship experience

n

nnAttention to detail, accuracy, process-oriented and organized

nnExcellent communication (including presentation) skills

n​The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
