In this highly visible accounting and regulatory reporting role, you'll gain unique exposure to the financial operations of a registered broker-dealer while working at the intersection of accounting, finance, compliance, and regulatory oversight. You'll play a key role in safeguarding client assets, supporting critical reporting to FINRA and the SEC, partnering with senior business leaders, and contributing to audits and strategic initiatives that help maintain Vanguard's reputation for trust and operational excellence.

Note: Vanguard Marketing Corporation (VMC). VMC is a Vanguard legal entity which is a registered broker-dealer and provides brokerage services as a self-clearing broker-dealer under the name Vanguard Brokerage Services. VMC also provides marketing and distribution services for the Vanguard funds.
Responsibilities:
* Completes the month end close for the VMC entity. Enters, reviews, and approves journal entries which include revenue and expense accruals and other entries needed.
* Prepares Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and a Net Capital calculations for monthly FOCUS reporting to FINRA, a key Broker-Dealer regulator. Conducts monthly meetings with the Financial Operations Principal (FINOP) to review preliminary FOCUS filing data.
* Prepares the weekly Customer Reserve calculation in accordance with SEC rule 15c3-3 and oversees deposits into and withdrawals from the Customer Reserve
