Atlantic Group is hiring a Corporate Accountant (Temporary) in Stamford, CT for our client, supporting corporate accounting operations, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting within an investment management environment. This temporary role focuses on month-end close, reconciliations, and expense tracking while partnering with the accounting team. The position offers hands-on exposure to core accounting processes and the opportunity to contribute in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities as the Corporate Accountant (Temporary): General Ledger: Support month-end close including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Accruals and Assets: Manage accruals, prepaids, and fixed asset schedules including depreciation and amortization.
Cash Management: Record cash activity and perform bank reconciliations.
Intercompany Accounting: Track and reconcile intercompany transactions.
Expense Analysis: Perform variance analysis and review expense classifications.
Reporting and Support: Assist with financial reporting and support process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications for the Corporate Accountant (Temporary): Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
Experience: 2-5 years of accounting experience within a corporate or financial services environment is required.
Industry Knowledge: Understanding of general ledger accounting, accruals, and reconciliations is required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems is required.
Skills & Attributes: Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to meet deadlines are required.
