The work
You will help improve AI systems by turning professional legal judgment into clear training data. The work covers corporate and commercial legal matters, including transactions and litigation.
You will work with technical specialists to explain legal reasoning in a form that AI systems can learn from while keeping the details and practical meaning of the law intact.
Analyze scenarios involving mergers and acquisitions, private equity, capital markets, corporate law, and commercial litigation.
Draft, review, and annotate transactional documents and litigation materials.
Summarize key facts, arguments, and corporate law issues in structured formats for AI training.
Find inconsistencies and unclear points in legal materials and explain why they matter.
Review model outputs for accuracy, consistency, nuance, and practical legal usefulness.
Share clear legal reasoning with both technical and non-technical specialists.
What it pays and takes
This is a part-time contractor role for experienced legal professionals. The posting lists an entry-level experience label, but the role requirements call for at least three years of relevant legal practice.
Pay: $140 to $350 per hour, paid per hour in USD.
Time: 20 or more hours per week.
Language: English.
Location: Applicants may be based in the countries listed in the posting.
Education: A J.D. from an accredited institution or an international equivalent.
Authorization: Active bar membership or equivalent authorization to practice law.
Experience: At least three years in mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, private equity, capital markets, or commercial litigation.
Background: Experience drafting and reviewing transactional documents or litigation materials.
Skills: Strong analysis, close attention to detail, clear synthesis of complex legal issues, and effective communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
Helpful experience: Computer science, technical work, AI data annotation, or model evaluation.
