Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Corporate Associate with 5 to 8 years of experience in M&A and private equity transactions in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The candidate will represent private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in various transactional matters.
Duties
Represent private equity sponsors in platform acquisitions and add-on investments.
Manage dispositions, joint ventures, and minority investments.
Oversee structuring, due diligence, and deal execution.
Draft and negotiate purchase and investment agreements.
Requirements
Minimum of five years of corporate experience at a major law firm.
Experience representing private equity sponsors.
Strong negotiating and drafting skills.
Excellent analytical and writing abilities.
Business-oriented approach to problem-solving.
Education
Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
Certifications
Admission to the Florida or New York Bar, or willingness to sit for the next examination.
Skills
Ability to manage complex transactions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
