Job Overview
A law firm seeks a mid-level associate to join its Corporate M&A and Securities Practice in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience focusing on M&A and private equity transactions.
Duties
Draft and negotiate acquisition agreements and related documentation.
Support private equity sponsors and portfolio companies throughout the investment lifecycle.
Manage internal and external client relationships effectively.
Requirements
2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
Licensed or eligible for licensure in the jurisdiction of the hiring office.
Reside in the designated jurisdiction at or prior to the time of hire.
Work in the office at least three business days per week.
Education
JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
Certifications
Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
Skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
High degree of maturity and business sense.
Proficiency in drafting and negotiating M&A and private equity documents.
