Job description
Job Overview: A law firm seeks a mid-level associate to join its Corporate M&A and Securities Practice in Tallahassee. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience focusing on M&A and private equity transactions, with a strong understanding of acquisition agreements and related documentation.
Duties
Draft and negotiate acquisition agreements and related documents.
Support private equity sponsors and portfolio companies throughout the investment lifecycle.
Manage internal and external client relationships effectively.
Requirements
2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
Must reside in the designated jurisdiction at or prior to the time of hire.
Work in the office at least three business days per week.
EducationJD from an ABA-accredited law school.
CertificationsLicensed or ready to become licensed in the jurisdiction of the hiring office.
SkillsStrong interpersonal and communication skills.High degree of maturity and business sense.Familiarity with middle-market deal structures preferred.
