Job Overview
A law firm seeks a mid-level associate to join its Corporate M&A and Securities Practice in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience focusing on M&A and private equity transactions, with strong skills in drafting and negotiating acquisition agreements.
Duties
Draft and negotiate acquisition agreements and related documentation.
Support private equity sponsors and portfolio companies throughout the investment lifecycle.
Manage internal and external client relationships effectively.
Collaborate on middle-market deal structures.
Requirements
2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to manage client relationships with maturity and business acumen.
Experience in a large national or international law firm preferred.
Education
JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
Certifications
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the jurisdiction of the hiring office.
Skills
Proficiency in drafting and negotiating M&A and private equity documentation.
Familiarity with middle-market deal structures.
