Security Officer – Orangeburg, NYPay Rate: $23.00/hr.We are currently seeking professional and dependable Security Officers to join our team at a secure corporate environment in Orangeburg, NY. This position is ideal for security professionals who are attentive, customer-service oriented, and capable of maintaining a high level of professionalism in a critical facility.Position DetailsLocation: Orangeburg, NYPay Rate: $23.00/hr.Schedule: Full-time and part-time opportunities may be available based on operational needsMust be available to work assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays as requiredMust maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all timesResponsibilitiesMonitor and control access to the facilityUse C-Cure access control systems to open doors, manage badge access, and create badgesUse D-Boss/Site Pass to read, understand, and process tickets authorizing access to the siteUse the BioConnect system to update and add fingerprints to badges for access to biometric readers throughout the facilityMonitor CCTV systems diligently and remain vigilant for unusual or suspicious activityEnsure all visitors are properly checked in and authorized before granting accessUse an intercom system to communicate professionally with visitors requiring access to the buildingCommunicate effectively with the operations team via radioEnforce site security policies, procedures, and access control protocolsRespond appropriately to incidents and emergenciesPrepare detailed and accurate incident reportsProvide professional customer service to employees, visitors, and vendorsCollaborate effectively with fellow Security Officers, management, and client personnelUtilize Slack for workplace communication and messagingUtilize Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook for daily administrative and security-related tasksMaintain a safe, secure, and professional environment at all timesQualificationsValid New York State Security Guard LicenseHigh School Diploma, GED, or proof of educationPrevious security experience preferredPrevious experience with access control systems preferredAbility to learn and operate security technology and computer-based systemsProficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and OutlookFamiliarity with Slack or similar workplace messaging platformsStrong customer service and communication skillsStrong attention to detail and situational awarenessAbility to remain calm and professional in stressful situationsAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsReliable transportation to and from the assigned locationMust be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a teamAbout UsMake an Impact at Securitas USASecuritas USA employees come from all walks of life, bringing a variety of skills, experiences, and perspectives.
