Job Overview
A law firm seeks a mid- to senior-level associate with extensive experience in corporate, mergers and acquisitions, and finance matters to join its Corporate Services Group in Chicago, IL. The candidate will manage complex transactions, including due diligence, drafting, and negotiation of transactional documents, and advising clients on varied transaction structures.
Duties
Manage high-level and strategic aspects of multiple legal matters.
Conduct and manage due diligence processes.
Draft and negotiate transactional documents.
Advise clients and collaborate with third-party advisors.
Support multiple partners and manage junior associates.
Focus on excellent client service and high-quality legal work.
Requirements
4+ years of relevant experience in M&A, private equity, and corporate finance.
Experience managing transaction structures and processes across industries.
Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and productively.
Education
Juris Doctor
Certifications
Licensed to practice law in good standing in Missouri or Illinois.
Skills
Proficiency in leveraging technology resources for transactional practice.
Strong communication skills with clients and colleagues.
Ability to manage and train junior associates.
