nn The Corporate Staff Accountant plays a critical role in leading Accounts Payable operations and continuous improvement of the procure-to-pay process. The role also supports Accounts Receivable and billing activities. In addition, the Corporate Staff Accountant contributes to payroll support activities, system enhancements, process automation initiatives, and other accounting and finance priorities, helping ensure efficient operations, strong internal controls, and scalability within a growing organization.  #LI-Hybrid 

nResponsibilities

nAccounts Payable and Expense Management 

n Manage invoice processing, coding and approval workflows within Bill.com and QuickBooks Online (QBO) 

n n Manage the AP Inbox in Outlook and BILL, ensuring all invoices are entered into Bill.com promptly. 

n n Initiate vendor setup and maintenance. 

n n Support the company purchasing card process, including coding, reconciliation, receipt collection, and payment of monthly statements.  

n n Review expense reports for accuracy and policy compliance, including outreach to employees for expense justification and support. 

n n Manage the annual 1099 process 

n n Assist in Use tax filing process 

n n Continuously look for opportunities to improve the P2P workflow 

n nnAccounts Receivable and Billing Support 

n Support the processing of weekly invoices and support overall billing process managed by the Sr. Accountant-Billing 

n n Support the cash application and collection process 

n n Manage bank transfers of deposit funds 

n n Support new client setup and onboarding activities 

n n Support the timesheet adjustment process, consulting with both Sr. Accountant-Billing and Sr. Accountant- Payroll 

n nnnOther 

n Support the payroll process with ad hoc tasks bi-weekly (Other Earnings data entry and support)) 

n n Handle special projects as may be assigned from time to time. 

n n Participate in system improvements and process automation initiatives. 

n nQualifications

nQualifications and Experience:   

n A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business, or a related field required. 

n n 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred; internships or public accounting exposure considered 

n n Understanding of U.S. GAAP 

n n Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, PivotTables, basic formulas).

n nnPhysical / Other Requirements:  

n While YPTC endeavors to maintain a balance between work and personal life, it is expected that the Staff Accountant (GL)will be reasonably available, if needed, by phone and email outside of normal working hours.  

n n Similarly, while it is our desire to minimize overtime, the GL Staff Accountant should expect to work whatever hours are needed to meet mutually agreed upon deadlines and deliverables.

Standard 35-hour full-time work week

For full-time positions, we offer:

4 WEEKS PAID TIME OFF, generally consisting of 100 hours paid vacation to start with eligibility for additional vacation based on tenure and a minimum 40 hours sick time, subject to applicable state law
