THE POSITION
Are you eager to take on a leadership role that makes a real difference as a Corrections General Industries Factory Foreperson with the Department of Corrections? This position allows you to contribute to productive factory operations while offering guidance to inmate workers at the State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Cambridge Springs. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This role focuses on guiding inmate workers and supporting factory operations within the Corrections Industries Braille program. As a Corrections General Industries Factory Foreperson, you will perform the following duties:
Worker Instruction: Train inmate workers in production methods, equipment use, and computer programs for daily operational reporting
Safety Oversight: Maintain a secure work environment by conducting searches, monitoring movement, and managing tool and supply inventories
Operational Tracking: Use SAP to review plant activity and submit purchase requests to support efficient operations
Production Planning: Analyze records, help set production goals, and recommend equipment improvements for better output
Factory Support: Carry out additional duties needed to ensure smooth and effective operations

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 40-hour work week
Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Three years of experience in the production of goods or services; or
An associate degree in industrial technology, operations management, business administration, or a related field; and one year of work experience in the production of goods or services; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training, which includes one year of work experience in the production of goods or services.

Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
