Job description

Document Processing SpecialistThe Document Processing Specialist is responsible for processing electronic and physical documents within proprietary software systems. This role ensures the accurate movement of various types of documents through the full processing cycle, utilizing both manual and automated workflows.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReview, identify, and process correspondence according to approved proceduresProcess electronic documents accurately and within established timelinesMaintain accuracy in naming, storing, and retrieving electronic filesCollaborate with internal departments including Account Managers, Scanning, and AccountingProcess incoming physical mail for in-office staff, including sorting, distribution, and preparation for scanningOperate scanning and mailing equipment to ensure timely and accurate processingDistribute non-scanned mail to appropriate personnelArchive and purge documents in accordance with established schedulesAudit and process CDs to ensure documents or images are uploaded electronically as required, including following up on pending password accessPerform additional duties as assignedEducation and Experience3 years of experience processing electronic documents, or equivalent combination of education and experienceKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesProficiency with computers, Windows Explorer, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and proprietary software systemsLanguage Skills: Ability to read and interpret open orders, service logs, and procedure manuals; prepare reports and correspondence; and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues via phone, web conference, and emailMathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic calculations, compute rates, ratios, and percentagesReasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding and solve problems involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situationsPhysical DemandsRegularly required to sit, use hands, talk, and hearOccasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 poundsSpecific vision abilities include close vision and ability to adjust focusWork EnvironmentWork performed in an office environment with moderate noise levelsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsWhy Join UsAt U.S. Legal Support, we are committed to excellence, innovation, and teamwork.
