nBased in Leeds, AL and reporting directly to the Cost Manager, the Cost Accountant will serve as a key member of the Finance team and have responsibility for a variety costing and inventory activities. This position is principally responsible for the ongoing maintenance of standard costs, month end closing activities, reporting and controls.

nA Day In The Life

nnnMonthly closing and reporting process, using financial reporting systems.

n

nnWorking with Bill of Materials and Product Routings through SAP system.

n

nnAssist in monthly variance analysis including, but not limited to, PPV, freight, material usage, production

n

n norder, labor, and burden (overhead) variances.

nnnProviding analysis and support to Internal and External Audits of the businesses.

n

nnReviewing, analyzing and updating standard product costs as they relate to labor, material and overhead.

n

nnAssist in cycle counts and physical inventories and reconcile all differences.

n

nnAssisting with department spending analysis and facility budgets and forecasts.

n

nnSupport for internal and external audit activities.

n

nnComplete ad hoc financial information requests.

n

nnPerforms other related work as assigned.

n nWhat will help you thrive in this role?

nnn1-3 years cost accounting experience using SAP in a manufacturing environment.

n

nnBachelor’s Degree in Accounting.

n

nnStrong analytical, planning and communication skills.

n

nnStrong computer skills; proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Excel & Word.
