nThe Cost Accounting Manager leads the cost accounting team to provide timely, relevant and accurate product cost information and analysis of business performance in support of all of Revelyst’s brands. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, and based in our Irvine, California office, this position plays a key role in understanding manufacturing performance, cost trends and product profitability. nAs the Cost Accounting Manager, you will have an opportunity to:
nnnLead the cost accounting process for all group companies to ensure accurate inventory costing.
n
nnMaintain accurate standard costing models, including appropriate allocations of raw materials, labor, overhead and other costs, in accordance with GAAP and company policy.
n
nnProvide accurate and timely reporting of manufacturing performance, including detailed and actionable analyses of manufacturing variances.
n
nnProvide insights into product cost trends and their current and projected impact on operating results.
n
nnCollaborate with manufacturing and sourcing, business unit leadership and FP&A teams on the development and updating of product standard costs.
n
nnSupport the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
n
nnContinually work to improve and standardize cost accounting systems and processes, while working within multiple ERP systems.
n
nnAnalyze inventory quantities and costs compared to anticipated usage, sales prices and relevant other information to ensure valuation at lower of cost or net realizable value.
n
nnRecruit, develop, mentor, and motivate a high-performing cost accounting team.
n
nnCollaborate with manufacturing, sourcing and other teams to optimize cost efficiencies.
n
nnDevelop and document accounting policies and procedures.
n
nnEnsure compliance with internal controls, company policies and relevant accounting standards.
n
nnSupport internal and external audits.
n
n nYou have:
nnnBachelor’s degree in accounting.
n
nnStrong knowledge of standard costing and inventory accounting processes and US GAAP.
n
nn10+ years’ progressive experience in accounting, including 5+ years in cost accounting and 5+ years leading a team.
n
nnSubstantial experience leading the cost accounting process in large or mid-cap manufacturing companies—preferably in consumer products or similar industry.
n
nnExperience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Netsuite.
n
nnAbility to work in a complex organization having multiple business units, brands and ERP systems.
n
nnStrong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
n
nnDemonstrated talent for developing systems and improving processes and a mindset for continuous improvement.
n
nnStrong work ethic, a sense of urgency and unquestioned integrity.
n
nnProficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, etc.).
n
nnAbility to work on site in our Irvine, CA offices at least 4 days per week.

nPay Range:
nAnnual Salary: $145,000.00 - $152,000.00
nThe actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
