nResponsibilities
nCOTA - Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant
nAs a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will:
nnnProvide occupational therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT)
n
nnAssist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, and rehabilitation goals
n
nnConduct individual and group therapy sessions
n
nnAccurately document patient progress and treatment outcomes in the EMR system
n
nnCollaborate with therapy, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams
n
nnHelp patients improve independence, strength, and overall quality of life
n
n nQualifications
nCOTA - Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant:
nnnCurrent New York State COTA license required
n
nnExperience in skilled nursing, rehab, or long-term care preferred
n
nnStrong communication and teamwork skills
n
nnPassion for working with geriatric / elderly populations
n

nnThis position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
